    Wink Hi! Julie from Colorado

    Hello...
I have volunteered with a small rural department in Drake, Co for 6 yrs and a combo dept. for 2 yrs. I am a Lieutenant and also hold the positions of Quartermaster and Ems Coordinator(I'm EMTB). We have some interesting calls including rope rescue, dive rescue and cars in the river, and of course wildland. Traffic accidents and medicals compete for our top calls. I am actively trying to get hired on to a career department and just passed my Cpat...yay! Everyone stay safe!!

    Default Congrats on your CPAT!!~

    You passed! That is awesome!

I'm a mother of 4 and training to become a firefighter. Aug 4th was my first attempt at the CPAT. Doggon dummy drag. I have since then been training for my next practice test, Sept 28th! I've never worked so hard!!! My final is Oct 17th!

Checkout my blog...follow my journey on becoming a firefighter out here in California..I hope to inspire others (female and male!).

    Wink dummy drag

    Thank you!!
Awww..,. the dummy drag.. that is why I didn't pass it on the third attempt. After that I practiced dragging a live person (190 lbs). You can do it! Just grab him and go.. pull the knees to the barrel before you turn and don't pause too long at that turn and just get mad!!! You only live once. Good luck!!!
