Any writers have any previous experience with this grant program? Curious as to how this has to go through your States Emergency Management.

It's funny you asked....I ran into a TEMA official the other day who was one of the higher up's of the communications division. In asking him about this project his reply was: "I've never heard about that program". I think it's sad that a volunteer department seeking information about a Federal program through their state EMA has more information on the subject then they do!!! SAD!!!

For $1000000 (FY09). What is in Nebraska other than Offutt AFB?
You can't apply anyhow. http://www.fema.gov/pdf/government/g...p_guidance.pdf
The Governor of each State has designated a State Administrative Agency (SAA) to apply for and administer the funds under the FY 2009 BZPP.3 The SAA is the only agency eligible to apply for FY 2009 BZPP funds and is responsible for obligating the BZPP funds to the appropriate local units of government4 or other designated recipients. The SAA must coordinate all BZPP activities with the respective State Homeland Security Advisor (HSA).

It's probably like the EOC program, all applications go to the SAA to see what projects fall into their predesignated ideas for each program. In most cases the SAA can't really spend the money on what they want, the request for funding has to come from someone under them. Probably something to do with avoiding it going right to certain pockets instead of keeping the public's needs at the forefront. Or at least looking like it anyway.

Neiowa he is 3 miles from a Nuke power plant. BC79er is right Jim, you will need to contact the state SAA and also coordinate with your security people at the plant for that program. Also I have new email for any looking it is kurt.bradley@hdgrants.com
That other one was just too long to remember.
