    Default Wanting to Become a Firefighter

    I am a Junior in High School, and want to become a firefighter. Planning on getting a Bachelor's in Fire Science but haven't really looked into colleges yet. I am a bit confused with the whole hiring process. When does the academy come into play? What do departments look for in applicants? Where do I have the best chance of getting hired?
