    Question Used Command Vehicle

Anyone know of a good used command vehicle or where to look for one? We are looking for a SUV of some type. Probably have around $10,000 to spend. We are trying to get something that will last us five years max. until we can get a brand new one.

Have any members that are handy, or possibly even cabinet makers? You could definitely pick up a used SUV for 10 grand and then build a custom cabinet in back and have a nice command vehicle. Drop in consoles for the driver aren't terribly expensive, should not cost much more than 400 dollars (try Jotto desk or Havis-Shields on those).

If you don't want to go this route, most of the big online fire apparatus dealers sometimes have a few lying around.

Check with FED-X or UPS and tell them your story and needs. They make cut you a deal on one of their used trucks. They are maintained very well.
