Advice for a future firefighter hopefully?
Im 20 years old and am starting my Firefighter I and EMT course in january. I want to start conditioning for all the physical exams now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I should work out or what kind of muscles I should focus on? Im learning alot from these forums and look to continue to expand my knowledge and be as ready as possible for the classes. Thanks in advanced!

3 letters: run! Cardio is the main thing, then muscle. Don't let anyone else tell you differently.
Don't get me wrong, muscle is important, but good cardio gets you the job.

Cardio must be the main priority. Muscle strength will follow naturally...
Use strength training that mimics fireground activities and you'll be very happy with your performance...drag hoselines (rolled/unrolled), hit something with a sledge or an axe over and over, drag a dummy, climb a ladder or stairs with a weighted vest, carry a PP fan for a distance...be creative
Oh, another suggestion...regardless of what anyone else tells you; yoga and meditation are definitely worth looking into. Flexibility and being able to control your breathing can mean the difference between being a liability or being the best firefighter you can be...
