Fire & Police Selection, Inc. (FPSI) Test

Does anybody have any info on fire department testing given from the Fire & Police Selection, Inc. (FPSI) study guide? I have taken a couple tests which were all basic Mathmatical, Grammer, Reading Comprehension, Mechanical Aptitude based and have just recently found a process that is using this study guide as a base for their test questions. It's new to me and any insight that anyone may have would be appreciated.

Thanks for responding. I have been studying the guide and understand that if I know everything then I'll be fine, that's obvious. I guess what I'm wondering is if they will have questions on small details w/in the guide and what chapters does it lean more towards? The guide is pretty basic as a whole when it comes to the fire service in my opinion and I would think I'd be able to pick out the correct answers in a multiple choice scenario.

Maybe I'll buy the practice test to see what the questions are like and how they're formatted.

I've taken the test twice and both times they covered every little nook and cranny of the book. There didn't appear to be a focus on a particular subject, but it has been a few years so I can't recall specifically.

One thing that really helps is going through the book and writing or typing out questions that you think may be on the test, making your own "practice test".

It will be a good review to make it, and once you're done you can utilize it to really get the material memorized.

The "test question bank" I made had over 1000 questions.
