    More pictures here

    Seems like there were 5 passengers in the car. The guy who owned it was a 19 yo kid who just picked it up from the factory a few hours earlier. They were joy riding and speeding through the town, going over 70mph in the city. They touched a curb, lost control, hit one tree, bounced off and hit the second tree which ripped the car in half.

    My German is very rusty, but it appeared to have been a bran spank'n new Volkswagen, from Wolfsburg, Germany. Not sure but I think "alcohol and drugs were a factor in this incident." I think.....?

    used google translator. Four died, 3 on scene, 1 hours later. Almost every body was delimbed and no one was wearing a seatbelt.

    True enough, but not as satisfying or educational as trying to translate it myself Of course the other side of the coin is that I missed on the info regarding fatalities, although that seemed pretty much an assumed result of this incident. No matter the translation (or not), still a very bad end to an event that didnt need to happen.

    My deepest condolences to the families and crews involved.
