Thanks Andy. I wonder if the first 10 rounds of '09 will have more awards than the first 10 rounds of '08?

Their goal is still to get 2010 in March or April so they'll be moving right along with the quantities per round like they did in 2007 when they dumped 2000 in Round 1.

Talked to the help desk today in reference to our 2008 FO application for which we have not received a DJ letter or an 1199A update. If I understood him correctly he said that there were 2008 applications that were sent back to be reviewed along with the 2009 applications and it should be about two weeks before we here something.
Has anybody else gotten the same reply or anything different?

I was advised you will hear the awards for the station construction before anything else happens.

Looks like that might be Friday from what Co59Bob posted in the SCG forum.

Got this in the email today
"Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano today announced more than $380 million in grants—funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)—to pay for fire station construction and port and transit security initiatives nationwide while creating jobs and stimulating local economies."
Looks like things are ready to roll. Good luck to those for all of your hard work.

Guess the names aren't going to appear until Friday, this is just the Congressfolk announcement she's quoting.
Wonder if they're going to fix the app web site with things still not showing like applicant match, and sprinklers/exhaust at 0 quantity.

Drop that over to me if you don't mind, brianv@vickersconsultingservic es.com
Does your app reflect the award?

I spoke with the help desk today and inquired about our 09 Operations application. I asked if they could tell me if our application at least made it to peer review as we are considering reducing services to purchase the equipment we requested. He got our application number and looked at it. He also said not to do anything yet and just hold tight and that awards are coming out in a couple of weeks.

Talked to the help desk today. Inquired about our operations application and advised them that we are considering cutting back services to purchase the equipment we requested. Help desk looked at our application and told me to hold on and not do anything yet as awards will be out in a couple of weeks.
