2008 FPS funds are broken down like this:
Population Size Maximum Federal Share
More than one million: $2,750,000
500,000 to one million: $1,750,000
Less than 500,000: $1,000,000
of that money, groups that supported President Obama received this:
$749,987 IAFF
$779,520 Chicago
$997,402 Acorn (New Orleans) (which is 99.7% of the funds for populations less than 500,000-N.O. has pop. of 310,000)
makes you want to go hmmmmm
And my neighboring department, that serves 10,000 households couldn't get $12,000 for their fire prevention program.
