My written exam is Nov 18 so I still have 6-7 weeks beforehand. Was going this weekend to purchase one of the books to help you get prepared for the written exam. Barnes and Nobles have SEVERAL different ones by different publishers. Any recommendations on which ones are worth it or not? Any past experience?
thx!

Uh, try and find out who the test is by...i.e. National Selection.... Fire and Police Selection Inc. (FPSI)... etc... Most make their own study guide for you to study from. BTW, majority are cognative questions and general knowledge. But like I said, try and find out who its by then go from there.

Written Exam Prep
You really need to know what the test is based on. Most commonly they are reading comprehension and basic math skills. Although the subjects vary from department to department. Check with the HR department, they should be able to help you.
