OK I won't tell you, but do you possibly have a spare handcuff key? It is good to see you are still converting oxygen by the way.

Thank you Brother, it is good to above ground and moving! Yes, I think I could find you a "spare key" in a pinch, and I'll not even ask why!

WOW!! Tensor bandages, pumkin pies, handcuffs (and keys - I have a service set also, and spare key w/ truck keys) and PC questions/answers. What a day to come back to the forums. Especially when it puts me to the lead. Oh ya, and batteries too. Not sure where they fit in, but then: Does it matter? hahahahaahaha

And all because I am in the office on what appears to be a federal day off.

Good to see you are still in her majesty's service. As to the bandage-pie-key-battery debochery just remember, always take care when eating pie while wearing handcuffs if you have a battery in your pocket and you don't have a spare key for the cuffs.

Yep. Still with "Her Majesty(s) Service", but I'm past the 25yr marker.... so any day something could happen to grant me the sudden desire for a rapid career change. Could be any day now. Its kinda nice to be on the "1-And-30-Day-P!ss-Me-Off Program. One day to p!ss me off, and 30 days to retire."

Yes you did. You really shouldn't do things like that prior to your pych or during the probie period. Typically the most lasting contribution you will make will be in the form of advise given out by oldtimers to newbies to not wear your ninja suit on shift.

Well, it was Halloween and I got extra credit for it

But yeah, I wouldn't do that on shift.

There have been some days where it came close, for sure, Miller. But then the little voice in my head that says "Hey! Where else in the world can ya take home close to 60K$ a year, and tell some occifer to 'Go $uck himself' in such a way that he smiles and closes the door on the way out?"

Its at about that time that I suck back and reload.

Nah. The sad thing? or good thing? is I actually like the work I do. Just gett'n tired of the politics that go with it.

I warned my new boss during my first interview that I dont do/like office politics, but if I get backed into a corner and get forced to "pick sides", I will come out fighting for whats best, and that usually means I am not making friends with or for anyone. At the end of it, I either get shoved off to some deep dark part of (office) Africa or I get major accolades for standing up for myself and the "little guy", which translates to mean my subordinates.
