It wasn't fear of carrying on with the thread, just a way of showing respect with a period of silence.

Sorry to hear you got stung, I hope you burnt the little sobs out. "I love the smell of napalm in the morning!"

No wonder kids cry when they get a shot at the doctors office, especial when the nurse tells them it will only feel like a BEE STING!

    Awww thanks CoT!.....

Dam*ned thing is still swollen, and itchy - hmm...could this be a sign of becoming allergic? Don't remember this the last time I was stung....

And as far as burning them out - no, didn't have any gasoline handy - AND the nest was right on top of our septic tank.....so I used about a half can of wasp/bee killer instead!...little b-tards were lined up waiting to get me when I went back with the can of spray.......hehehe.......not a ONE emerged when I was done!

Paso and Harve, sorry to read that y'all have been hurt.

Paso, I know it sounds weird but, if your sting is still swollen and itchy, take some banana peel and place it on the sting site, with the interior side of the peel against your skin. Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes.

Harve, how severe a burn did you get? Is it "just a flesh wound" or more serious?

About a 1 x 3 inch area on the outside of the Calf Muscle, about 10 inches above the ankle. Happened about24 hours ago, and I just found that a couple of blisters are weeping. Shouldn't be a big deal, but Thanks for asking..........

What is this, burn me month...???

I got burned 12 days ago when a red hot tie bar moved and landed on my wrist, and sizzled. Got a nice 1x2 inch blister within an hour or so. Still red and swollen, but healing.

The wife on Thursday splashed hot frying grease on her finger. The whole length of half of her finger is a blister. I've got it covered for now, but I wish she would at least go to one of those out patient clinics. The blister is pretty big.

Friday, another tech got burned. He also blistered up, and went to the ER. Not sure how that happened.

I let my blister pop on its own, then kept it covered until yesterday with an antibiotic cream covered by a gauze pad and tape wrap (the wide brown stuff). Since I didn't get an infection, I figure I did everything right. When the wife's finally pops, I plan on doing the same thing. Right.... Wrong???
