Ya know its kinda funny that tradition about getting a lump of coal in your stocking if you were "bad". To me that would be a GOOD THING. You can do so much with a lump of coal. It can make heat (for a few hours anyhow) or if you have the means and the time, a rough cut diamond. You choose.

In any case, a lump of coal can be a better gift than any store-bought item, is all I'm saying.

Knowing Rick, I'll bet you dollars to donuts that he puts a small lump of coal in a ring box.

Even though I am not a citizen of the United States of America, I am seeking permission from The Esteemed Peanut Gallery" to request:

"I can not tell a lie", therefore I refuse to answer the question.

I made some brownies last night using bittersweet chocolate chips which get melted with the butter and then added to the eggs and sugar.) There are 4 egges, almost 2 cubes of butter, 1/2 cup of chocolate chips, vanilla, and only 1/2 cup of flour in the recipe. This recipe makes a very dense fudgey brownie. My brother liked them better than the cocoa brownies and then told me that he had signed up for the potluck at work to bring dessert. He then asked if I would mind making a batch. No problem I said. Can I make two pans he asked? OK. (the pans are 9" square pans). Then he said,, well some of the guys have been asking if you would make some with walnuts. ( I have made a few batches of cookies and brownies and my brother has taken them to work.). OK I said. Now I am making 4 pans of brownies, 2 with and 2 without walnuts. I don't mind. I am happy to do it for him and he is buying the supplies. You just have to love the subtle way men go about getting something.
