    Default Communication question

Want to get a radio for my POV and curious about what to look for? Which frequencies, power, brands, options, etc.? Suggestions? Thanks!

Why not talk to your chief about what the best option would be?

There is suck a thing as too many radios. Why not buy a scanner and program the local frequencies into it?

If your department wanted you to have a radio wouldn't they issue you one?

It seems we are constantly struggling to decrease unnecessary radio traffic.

    1. Does your department allow you to have a radio in your vehicle?

    2. Why don't they issue you one, then?

    3. Save your money. If you're important enough within your department that you must have radio communications in your POV, the department will give you one.

"I have a dream. It's not a big dream, it's just a little dream. My dream and I hope you don't find this too crazy is that I would like the people of this community to feel that if, God forbid, there were a fire, calling the fire department would actually be a wise thing to do. You can't have people, if their houses are burning down, saying, 'Whatever you do, don't call the fire department!' That would be bad."
