Default Fire House (Station) in Las Vegas??

    Hi Guys

Firstly let me introduce myself, My name is Pete and im a fireman in London, Uk. Thats about it :-)

Im heading over too Vegas next year and have been trying to locate the "local" station on the strip (i guess it would be). Was going to pop in with a couple of t-shirts, see if any of the watch fancied swapping. But i cant find any information anywhere on the location of the stations, and even the name of the Brigade/Department.

Any help would be much apprciated.

    Pete

I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

    LFB Pete
Las Vegas Station 1 is located at 500 N.Casino Center Blvd. 89101
It's the biggest house in the City, 2 Engines, 1 Truck, 1 Batt. Chief, & 3 Rescues. Someone is usually around and if you come on a B-shift day I'll be there.

But having said that, most of "the strip" in Las Vegas is run by Clark County Station 18.

Management is making sure things are done right. Leadership is doing the right thing. The fire service needs alot more leaders and a lot less managers.

"Everyone goes home" is the mantra for the pussification of the modern, American fire service.

Comments made are my own. They do not represent the official position or opinion of the Fire Department or the City for which I am employed. In fact, they are normally exactly the opposite.

There are a couple of other CCFD stations on the strip as well. You will find sta. 11 right after the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign on the south side.

Sorry to tell you this but most of the strip ( which is not Las Vegas its Clark County) that is covered by Clark County go figure. Everything North of Sahara is Las Vegas, then into North Las Vegas. I was just informing Mr.Pete where he could get a LAS VEGAS FD shirt. If he would like to stop by a Clark County station that would be 11,18,12, or 33. Home of the YELLLOW school bus, I mean Fire Engine.

I stayed at the Luxor when I was down there visiting a few years ago. Good location for hitting a lot of the strip and is within walking distance of a few LVFD and CCFD stations. It was maybe 3-4 blocks down on the same side of the road, past Mandalay Bay.
