    Default Happy Birthday Jarheads!

Today is the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

You have to love a branch of the military founded in a bar!

I never understood the point of pouring out alcohol on the ground for your buddies, isn't it better to drink it for your buddies

Spent the day at the USMC museum in Quantico. A great place. There was a cake cutting ceremony. Before the cutting there was an announcement looking for the oldest and youngest former and current Marines there to participate. The youngest enlisted January '09 and the oldest was in a wheelchair who enlisted in 1935.
