    Default Where is it?

Sorry, I had to delete the rant I had posted here.

Outside issues are infringing on my forums time and attitude.

How about e-mailing it to us. I'd be 100+ folks would jump on the "me too" band wagon...like a winning narrative for a SAFER R & R program.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!

No, no one would do that... (as I nurse my carpal tunnel from sending narratives)

    I have a few questions:

Is a good rant subject to a 5% local contribution?
Do we have to go to bid with it, or can I just get a couple of quotes?
If FEMA reduces a rant, can I appeal?

Only if you're rural. 10% for suburban, 20% for urban.

I can't believe the Master Ranter is asking such simple questions!! (no offense DFD, yours are always well written, justified IMHO and i haven't disagreed with one yet!!)

Thank you for the good laugh, Greenacres!!!

Fortunately, or unfortunately - depending on your perspective, I've been known to have an opinion or two, and for not being too timid to "state my case"! I've tried to behave, at least in these grant forums, as I don't want to offend any of the mighty Grant Masters that I learn from every day. (Although that NIMS discussion a few days ago started to raise some hair on the back of my neck... maybe because in my FT job, I deal with the Fed "NIMS police" almost daily...).

Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Wink rant about nothing and everything

My rant was getting carried away.
The ususal stuff, certifications, training, compliancy, AFG, time tables, dealing with room temperature IQ's, lack of action on my priority applications, admpaul (lol), and the usual; all brought on by Thanksgiving pressure and my sons combat team activity of late. Just needed to write it and thank the lord, delete it.

I should practice that more often.

But I think each of our points were heard and taken, hopefully with more than a grain of salt. Know what you mean by the write and then delete.

We got into real rants in the volunteer forums section just a couple days ago. NIMS there and here.

Are we supposed to 'rant off ' at the same time?

I had an early morning premonition. AFG likes us and is going to give us a special surprise. Something we are all going to enjoy, appreciate and be thankful for. Something original. Something that's gonna make our day.

    Sorry, reverse Rant off :-(

    Rant on....

My wife has wanted a new refrigerator for over 4 years--french door, bottom freezer, yada, yada, yada. So the "Black Friday" ads came out, local appliance store is stupid enough to advertise a Maytag for 1/2 of what the street prices are--geez, who's gonna go there at 0700 for a fridge on the biggest toy day of the year????

Great deal on the fridge--but the matching range, range hood, connectors, delivery...OUCH!! They did have some excellent deals on Blu-Ray systems, but i was in too much shock to go any deeper. Guess we stick with regular DVD's for now.

    Rant off...

All right, the range was a good deal--Jenn-Aire 5 burner, self-cleaning with all trimmings for under 9 bills. Given that the old stuff was installed on 4-16-1993, ice maker was removed 3 years ago, no numbers left to see on the oven dial, broiler drawer falling off, etc, ect--i guess it was time.

On the brightest side, as we walked out of the store my Bride said she was thrilled with her Christmas gifts--so i can return the zebra print Snuggie i was gonna get her...
