And not for a good reason either.

Man confesses in Motherís Day card to sexually assaulting wifeís daughter

By Mike McIntyre, Winnipeg Free Press November 26, 2009 3:02 AM

WINNIPEG ó A Winnipeg man used a Happy Motherís Day card to tell his common-law wife heíd been sexually abusing her 11-year-old daughter for several months.

His startling confession was read aloud in court Wednesday after the 37-year-old pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was given a two-year prison sentence.

ďIím so sorry. I donít want to lose my family. Iím so empty inside,Ē the writing on the card began. ďIím so sorry for wrecking our family. Please find it in your hearts to forgive me. Oh God, Iím so sorry to you and the kids. I miss you so much. Iíll never stop loving you.Ē

The man ó whose name isnít being published to protect the identity of his victim ó also included a picture of the family together in happier times inside the May 2008 card.

ďItís a very heartfelt card. It was not something anyone told him to do. He wasnít even charged yet at that point,Ē defence lawyer Jeff Gindin told court.

Crown attorney Mark Kantor said the manís stepdaughter contacted a school guidance counsellor in early 2008, saying she had been molested on a regular basis since the previous summer. Police were contacted and began an investigation ó with the manís written confession being the final piece of evidence that led to criminal charges.

He will be placed on the national sex offender registry.

This is why I have so much trouble dating women with kids. After these stories break,it's automatically assumed that a guy wanting to relate well with the kids is on the prowl.

One of those things that just make you say... "Huh".

Burn him at the stake. Using tax-payer dollars to keep him in prison is nothing more than a miscarriage of justice.

Nothing surprises me in this city anymore. Sickening.
If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

We all had to sign a "Do Not Touch/Fraternize" clause when we first post in. As for postings in, not a clue. I'm still trying to get OUT OF HERE!

I had to sign those bloody things on my course too. I don't think I would have to worry about what the military would do if I got caught fraternizing. My wife would be far scarier to deal with.

Frat and Touching doesn't cover looking though.
