The local Toys R Us store was shutdown this morning by the Fire marshall for fire hazards. Wow what a hit on Black Friday. This happened to be the store I was once a manager of. I saw the brief on the news today stating that 2000+ people were in the store and more were waiting to get in. he shut the store down until management could get the crowds under control. There needs to be more of this done. These stores are crowding their aisles with displays and not leaving any room for anyone to move around. Then you pile 2000+ plus people into aisles that are normally 8 foot wide into aisles that are now 3 foot wide because of display and now people are getting hurt and I am sure we will here of poeple geting killed.
My wife works at Sears. I took her to work this morning at 3 AM because she was worried about being tired driving home. When we got there our mall was totally packed and no store opened until 4:00 AM. The store manager stated that poeple were already lined up outside the store at 7 PM Thanksgiving evening.
I just wanted to give the WV Fire Marshall's office a kudos for recognizing a serious problem and dealing with it before something bad happened.
There is nothing that I need that bad that I would even attempt to shopping today! unless Of ocourrse the AFG watiing bar needs to be restocked!!

My girlfriend is in Westbrook for thanksgiving. I kept texting her telling her it was pouring, she sent me back some sarcastic replies confirming the fact.
And technically a true Maine accent would pronounce it as a “Notheastah” Not a Weather Channel “Noreaster” Notice the letter R is the missing element in true Maine fashion.
