Anyone hear anything yet about SAFER peer review?

The two panels are scheduled to assemble on January 11-15 and January 18-22. No idea if Baltimore again, or NFA.

According to an email I just forwarded to you (meant to do that a while back, sorry) Group 1 is January 11-15 and Group 2 is January 18-22.

Got this message after submiting my 2009 SAFER Application today (12/14/2009):
... Grant awards will begin as early as September 2009 .... We plan to notify all applicants of the final disposition of their applications by November 2009...
Now thats fast! Maybe that'll make up for the wait with the AFG!

Oh so that was it! They have been working on this in the Science and Research Directorate at DHS and have finally invented a time machine so they can retro-award and we won't even relalize that the delay even happened.
