Default Morning Pride Bunker Pants you can spare?

I have a buddy who is in need of a pair of pants for his small town volly job and he asked me for help to locate some. He is a great guy with limted funds and i want to help him out as an Xmas gift.

Before i scour the web and make 6,000 phone calls, anybody have a pair of BLACK Morning Pride Bunkers in a 44-50 waist (he can have them resized up to 4 sizes either way and lengthend) that are not horribly faded? The pair he has now are almost grey from being cleaned so many times and with the new turnout he was issued, it looks like some freakish two tone getup.

So, if anybody has a set they could part with, PM with the details, hopefully a picture or an honest description and a price.

    Happy Hollidays.

Because they are still serviceable, they will not replace them. This is not a big department. He wants to use the old ones for training and use the new-er pair for duty.

OK... it must be too early or not enough sleep.. or both....

    I thought the title read:

You arent going to want to hear this , but you are addressing a symptom --- and missing the cause. If your FD - is so underfunded that you get on an internet forum and try and get some protective equipment donated --- you have bigger problems than one pair of bunker pants. Yor problem lies within your leadership , they should address the funding issues, if the public you serve feels that old gear is "good enough" then your leaders should make it common knowledge that your lack of funding is inhibiting the quality of your response. Dont "enable" the citizens you serve --

Yes i did, thank you. I am by no means asking for anything free. I am simply trying to find the actual item. All the stores i contated do not have anything close to that in stock. And he is not too big on ordering and buying a brand new pair at $700+.

And as for "why don't i give him my gear", that is because i am 6 sizes smaller then him. Otherwise i would have done just that.

Yep, i check it a few times a day. Right now all the MP gear anywhere near the size he needs is every color but black. Even other brands are mostly natural colors. Black gear in good shape is not easy to come by surplus.

It's weird, i searched completed auctions and found dozens of pairs of bunker pants, some in like new shape for under $100.00. Some amazing deals on gear right now.

Forget about the MP fetish. There are a dozen mfg that make better gear using the same exact materials and don't charge you an extra 15% to pay for a bloated PR budget.

Just try for something labeled as NFPA1971-2007 (or if you can't afford that v ersion 2000).

While they are wearing MP and that is why he wants to stick with them, he has said Globe would work. He has a lead on a pair of G-Xtreme pants that may end up working out for him.
