I wandering if you know of any summer wildfire jobs that are between april and September. I am willing to travel but I have to be back by the first week in September. A little bit about my background:
I am 19 but I have worked for a call departement for 3 years.
I am EMT-B and ff I/II certified in Mass as well as nationally.
I have about a years experience as an EMT and am looking at getting my wilderness upgrade.
I am an avid backpacker and outdoors man as well as a long distance runner.
I have no problem with the pack test or of the any other of the physical tests.
I am willing to get what ever certifications need;whether red card, s130/190, ect.
Any jobs you know of or advice would be greatly appreciated.

bfd if you are living in Mass, contact the Mass DCR, Bureau of Fire Control (or any other nearby state Forestry agency) they can usually get you set up with taking the Arduous pack test, and more than likely the S130/S190
Most state Forestry agencies handle the crews for the US Forest Forest service when they start requesting crews"If you can't be a good example, the you'll just have to be a terrible warning."
