How much does it cost for annual testings of the aerials? I am just curious. Say all normal sized between 50' and 110'

I think we pay UL $1,250.00 fpr a 50 foot tele-squirt. We asked for a price to do a Pierce 100 aluminum and they said - same price if its 50' or 100' .

I think we pay around $1000/year as well. I know that it's much cheaper if we can get all the aerials in the area to be done in the same week so the travel costs are offset, as none of the testing companies have people in-state.

Shop around for the best price! However make sure you are comparing "Apples to Apples". There are many companies out there now offering Aerial Testing Services, make sure you get a quality company!!! I would recommend either UL or Aerial Inspections out of PA.

UL charged us $1075 for one aerial. They do quantity discounts for multiple units, but I cannot locate the cost for our second unit.
I am unsure how they calculate costs, it may be by location as well as job type, so, don't assume the cost is the same elsewhere. We are in NJ. The aerial size wasn't relevant, as the testing is the same.

We use National Testing and always have since we took delivery of our 135. they are familiar with the rig and know what to look for when testing it. We make sure it is done every year and it has always passed..like anyone we get little recomendations for small things, and we have those recomendations met. I've seen them test it a few times, but never fro mstart to finish, so as to the X-ray question, I don't believe they do.
Some one correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is mainly just for steel ladders due to the rust that happens on the inside of the ladder extrusions due to condensation. It takes a little intelligence to enjoy humor, satire & wit, but none to be offended by it.
It take more than a new Leather Helmet to make you a good officer
