iGive.com is going to attempt to donate $5,000 in just 24 hours to Jamaica Emergency Services Association - JESA and other causes.
For each person who joins iGive using the special link below and does just one web search on our site between now and noon Thursday, we'll give Jamaica Emergency Services Association - JESA a dollar.
5,000 new members, $5,000. No purchase necessary.
This is the link:

We're really proud of our search capability, powered by Yahoo! We've made tons of improvements over the
past four months, so we want lots of people to try it out and put it to the test. If they keep on searching or
shopping after testing us out, so much the better for Jamaica Emergency Services Association - JESA and iGive.com.
The details:
- Offer active between now and 11:59 a.m., December 17, 2009 (Chicago time).
- New members only (never have been an iGive member previously). All the normal rules of membership, searching, and
purchasing apply, our site has the details.
- Once we've given away $5,000, the offer ends.

Sorry - already a member for the past couple of years. Got the same e-mail a short time ago but, since you posted first, you can have all the Firehouse.com members.
Out of curiosity, does any one know of other similar "charity mall" sites they can suggest we register with and link to from our website?

I'll share.

All they have to do use switch who the donor is.
We've used this search for several years also to help fund buying bottled water to keep on our trucks and snacks during training.
I have it set as my home page so I'll do the search first with it. It's great if they would keep it at the 2 cents year round. ever bit counts though.
And with the dollar donation it's a quick, easy and free way to make to make a donation.

Thanks! Our link is http://www.igive.com/welcome/warm_reg_promo.cfm?c=4474
Agreed 100%. I'm all for the non-traditional methods of donating. Shopping at Amazon already? Someone might be making a commission on that, may as well be us. Selling on eBay? Donate some (or all) of the proceeds and that helps us and is tax-deductible too. Lots of ways people can support us with their every day habits even if they can't spare the $10 or $20 to give to us directly.I have it set as my home page so I'll do the search first with it. It's great if they would keep it at the 2 cents year round. ever bit counts though.

OK I guess that gives new meaning to "you got my 2 cents worth... and you have now!
