Grant amendment %
Trying to get a handle on AFG thinking with SCBA reductions to quantities. I've got several SCBA reductions were they cut the quantity to exceed those older than 1997 compliant or on others are coming in under. I already tried NFPA min# units per vehicle and that seems to work sometimes but not always.
Year # of NFPA compliant SCBA
1997 Standard 15
Older Standards 7
They reduced us to 8, 3 engines 1 arial 1 other asked for a straight replace of 22.
1997 Standard 14
Older Standards 14
3 engines 1 brush 1 rescue. total seated pos. 30 asked for a straight replace hoping to get 14, got reduced to 12.
Certainly plan on questioning quantities at 10q just curios if anyone else has seen any trends in quantity reductions.

Friend of mine had applied for 28 SCBA to replace all 1997 standard. Reduced to 8 SCBA @ $5,250.
Fleet consists of 6 pumpers (total of 24 riding positions, 1 brush, 1 rescue with 7 positions, and 3 "other")
1199A appeared today.
Makes no sense.

I also spent time trying to correlate staffing-membership # to number of units, still no hits.
Guess I'm building a spreadsheet to cover the variables, if you've got similar data I'm interested.
Two more days of archery season and get the SAFER'S submitted then we'll get down to crunching these numbers.
