    Default Hope

This is my first year to write the AFG grant for our Dept. I looked under a 2007 update 1199A form and I have a FO 2009 # that wasn't there before. Is this the 1199A I am looking for? If so how sure can I be that it will be awarded?

Hold your horses a bit. Its a really, really good sign for you. About a 99% probability that you will get funded but, you do not have an official award until you have an award letter in your hand. The 10 questions will arrive in a bit and after you answer those questions an send them back you will get in the line for an award round. As I tell many, you can start planning the party, just don't invite the guests quite yet. Your almost there, patience!

    Default Email received

12/24 - 4am - Email received notifying me to check website. Checked and 1099 was there verifying direct deposit info. Looks good for 27 sets of turnout gear and a new ALS defib.

Still have hopes for a ladder truck grant, no action on that app yet.

Just checked and found an update on our old grant. Pagers, LDH and fittings, traffic cones for driving course, $20k or so.

AFG must be still sleeping off their Christmas Grog. Have not heard or seen anyone today with a new update.

Default 1199 update yes, $ amount change

Looked at the 1199 from our last awarded application and it has a 2009 # on it (found it on 12/24) But now looking at our 2009 application the $ has been decreased along with the quantity of some of the rescue tools? Any ideas ?

Market pricing decrease, normal thing to happen since they have pricing limits on everything.

Lance that is great to hear for you and your agency. Good way to ring in the New Year. Just spoke with one of your classmates from BBFD and they have somehow managed to convince me that I need to brave the NY winters again ( I am a glutton for punishment I guess) and have signed to bring me in this year on Feb 6-7 to Victor VFD once more, Hope to see you there once more.

    Question

    Someone help me out here.
When you get a NEW 1199, does it show up in the new grant (2009)?
And does it show up as Update 1199?
    thanks

If you had a previous award and nothing has changed on your 1199a since the last award it will show up on the old 1199a fomr the previous award year as an additional ref awrad # at the top of the page in red. If you need to submit a new 1199a, you will get an email about it or in the drop down box next to the 09 grant you will see an "upate 1199s" link.

If you will be a first time winner, yes. You will find Update 1199A in the Action Box.

If a previous winner; check the first application that you were awarded. You will be looking for View 1199A or Update 1199A in the Action Box.
