Default TRIAL BY FIRE - Did Texas execute an innocent man?

    http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2...urrentPage=all

It's a lengthy - but rivetting - article so read it when you get the opportunity.

The ineptitude and puerility of the arson investigation team was truly mindboggling. The credulous prosecution - and defense team, mind you - fell hook, line and sinker to everything the arson team fed them.

Cameron Todd Willingham was made out to look insensate by [almost] everyone involved - directly or indirectly.

The term "junk science" in this instance is so - sadly and tragically - fitting.

I went from thinking he was guilty to unsure, to innocent to unsure again. My gut is really telling me they sentenced an innocent man to death.

That Hurst, he seems like a hell of a smart guy though.

That was quite a read. Based on the atricle, provided it's factual, I would believe that he was innocent.
