I have seen and heard good things about P90X, but I was wondering if anyone had tried Insanity?

I have actually... it's a tough program if you do it right. The hardest part I found believe it or not was the yoga. I've had a tough time doing the program right and I keep going on/off on on/off but it's totally worth it if you can plug through it.

I have two more weeks to go and then I'm finished with the Insanity program. Let me tell you, it's a great workout. I've cut 15 pounds and feel my cardo has improved by leaps and bounds. I'm taking the CPAT next month and I'm confident insanity will help me complete it under 10:20.
After my Insanity routine, I'll be doing p90X. Anybody can do the "Insane" workouts if they put their mind to it, I find the hardest part to keep up with is the reccomended diet. LOL
-I'm 5'11 and went from 197 to 182 in about 50 days. I hope to cut an additional 3 to 5 pounds by the time i'm finished.

I have done parts of both P90X and Insanity and found them both to be quite similar. However I will admit the Cardio Insanity Max really kicked my butt after being comfortable with the P90 plyo workout and feeling pretty good!

Ive been training with the Insanity program for the last three months and it is VERY tiring! It is non stop movement and it works, I have abs now haha!

Have done a full round of Insanity and it is great. Awesome cardio workout, I did 2 full rounds of P90X last year and Insanity is much harder and a better cardio workout. Has made work and more importantly my elk hunts easier. I do modify insanity in some parts by doing squats instead of some of the hardcore jumping just because the jumping a little to high of impact for me.

Good deal. I just borrowed it from a buddy, and will be starting soon. I was looking for something more cardio. I haven't done P90X but may look into it as well.

How do these programs compare to your actual job related tasks?

Insanity even if you are a trainer
I have just started the Insanity programme. Feel it is a perfect workout for me. I have lost some 10 pounds already and have a good improvement feeling in the whole body!
I think I take CPAT after this and hope insanity makes me to complete it under 10/20.
However, the difficult part in Insanity is a diet sometimes, especially if you are invited to go out or for a party...yep

I am about to start week 2 of the insanity program and I like it a lot. My one knock on it is it's A LOT of jumping/exercises that put pressure on your knees. If you have a bum knee I would not recommend this to you. Once I finish this program I plan on taking the exercises I liked out of it and creating my own 20-25 min cardio program to run through after my weight lifting. I currently put lifting on hold right now and am doing strictly cardio.
