I was watching a TV program called "Trauma Life In the E.R." on Discovery Health last night. It was a very interesting show that films at some of the bussiest Level 1 trauma centers throughout the nation. It is uncut and very graphic. Being a medic I found it very interesting to watch other areas of the countrys ems protocols and I would like to buy a few of the seasons to watch at the firehouse. I did about a half hours worth of research and could not come up with any places who are selling it. Anyone know where I could buy this? Thanks a lot.

Discovery Health used to air another show called paramedics that was pretty cool to watch too. It was like cops but they followed various EMS depts across the U.S.

That is a great show. I love it.
Where to buy it?
iTunes!
$1.99 per episode of $19.99 (I think) for a season.
Good luck!

BridgePort, is your old man on the job cuase you seem to know some **** for being 15 years old. You also must have pretty good instructors at your dept who give a damn and want to teach you guys whats up. Keep up the good work, and never stop learning!! Keep it up and you will make a great firefighter/Medic. You already sound like a great young man.

Thanks Dicky. I will get back to you after I contact them. I mean not only is the program entertaining but you also learn something new while watching. Just like with firefighting there is always something new to learn in EMS, such as how did this medic/nurse/doctor handle this, what protocols/SMOs did this EMS system/Fire Dept. follow, how would I handle this type of EMS run. Thanks for all the reply's.

GREAT show! I believe it's still on almost every night on TLC as well, at 7PM I believe, or atleast it used to be. They have 2 or 3 episodes down here in Orlando, FL at Orlando Regional Medical Center. One of the episodes, a guy falls off a tree and lands on a tree beneath him, and the entire tree goes up his butt, and through his entire abdomen. It turns out, the entire tree went almost within an inch of his heart, but did not pierce ANY major organs, it was pretty amazing. I was actually at ORMC doing clinicals for medic school when this guy was brought in by my FD, pretty crazy stuff. And definitely worth the 1.99 episode I think!

TLC aired another brand new show last night called Emergency Level 1. Pretty much a new version of Trauma: Life In The ER.

I watch the show when I get a chance on Discovery Health. Saw an episode the other day at St. Vincents in NYC. It was weird seeing one fo the hospitals I brought patients into doing ridetime with FDNY EMS for my medic program. Paramedics was also a good show. I believe they cut Paramedics (not sure about Trauma) due to HIPAA.
The comments made by me are my opinions only, not of the Fire and EMS services I am affiliated with.
I have lost my mind..has anyone seen it? it's not worth much..but it's mine
