I rode a bicycle around Paducah Ky when I was on my old department.People did suggest that I get a light and siren kit from Galls for it but I wasn't that hard corps.I'd just advise them to go out on their porches when the tones dropped to watch me fly down Milliken Road and hear me cussing out the dogs chasing me when I made the turn to the last block to the station.
Though when we'd provide manpower for parades and the BBQ festival using bikes to get around, a l/s kit would have made it easier to explain to the PD that "Yes,I am with a fire department and NO I am not just wearing a t-shirt with the name on it."
