Key Largo and Palm Beach County come to mind.
I think maybe Plantation and Southwest Ranches in Broward have volunteers.

All the departments in Manatee County have volunteers and some have "part time" firefighters. A buddy worked part time for one. He earned $100 a shift.
...at this time.

Apopka
Volusia county, must live within 5 miles of a county station
Brevard county, must live in county
Deltona?
Melbourne
Orange City
Flagler County
Indian harbor beach
Polk county?
Edgewater, live within city limits
Miramar
City of Flagler Beach
Check out the cities in Lake and Sumter counties as well
Many other coastal cities do it, those are the big ones I listed
As far as the Orlando/Orange county area, there are no volunteer departments with the exception of Apopka. If you're looking to volunteer, it is gonna be a drive. In addition, expect a waiting list.
I started as a volunteer and loved it, got hired on full time with the department I started out on. Best job in the world. If anyone needs help or advice with volunteering, get in touch with me.Last edited by flashpo1nt; 01-20-2010 at 06:56 AM.
