The 5600 works for us, basic camera with no bells or whistles...doesnt have the image quality that the more expensive cameras do.
bullard t-max 3. thing works like a champ.
35 pound, hand crank MSA built in the late 30's. Its a museum piece but it works very well.
We're spoiled, have six TIs. One old school Bullard TI Commander, two Bullard T3 (older, blue in color), one newer T3 (yellow) and two ISG K1000 Elites. I like the ISG cameras the best for what we can see with them, but I'll give mad props to Bullard...
Last week at our fire academy final burn day, one of our "safety" personnel managed to drop one of the blue Bullards as he was transitioning from the basket of the tower ladder to the fourth floor roof of the training tower. Yes, I said fourth floor.
The plastic folding table that I had placed strategically as a staging point for the TIs to be used by the various groups going in took the brunt of the impact, but the ten foot bounce off the table and the subsequent impact with the ground was remarkable as well. The camera still worked fine and was used the rest of the afternoon. The table still works, but now has a divot on one side...
Wish I had video.
I'll tell you when they arrive lol. The company we got our fire truck from a month ago ( waiting for it ) threw in 2 new imagining camera's free to help us out!
