I spoke with Jeff with the 1199 Processing Staff today and he informed me that the fax number that had went out with many of the e-mails instructing applicants to fax their completed 1199 to 202-786-9905 is incorrect. He advised that the correct fax number should be 301-998-8699 and we should refax our 1199 to that number attn: Jeff.

We faxed ours on 12-17 and have a fax sent confirmation. That is why I called to confirm that he had received it. He said the 202 number is within the AFG program offices but does not go directly to the 1199 processing staff. He said they may or may not get delivered to them and he couldn't find ours. He even mentioned that he had asked the program staff to change the fax number to the 301 number in the emails.

i am not talking about a fax confirmation i received an email that it was accepted..maybe it took a little longer than if it went to the 302 number..but i predict a bunch of very nervous people reading this thread and scrambling to re-fax for no reason
This email is confirmation that your SF 1199A, Direct Deposit Form, has been accepted by our financial system on 12/28/2009. The information is certified by you as accurate. Therefore, this will be the information used when FEMA makes payments, as requested by youLast edited by TotowaEMT; 01-15-2010 at 05:36 PM.

I was saying our fax machine confirmed that it was transmitted. Jeff searched for it and our 1199 was no where to be found. It had been lost some where along the lines of trying to make it to his office. I can imagine some people that are in our boat who's 1199 got lost along the way to Jeff's office and may need to check with him and/or refax. Apparently sidizzle had the same problem.

From the Grant Management Tutorial:
Once completed, fax the SF-1199A from to DHS/FEMA Grants Management at 301-998-8699, Attention 1199-A Specialist. Make sure you keep the original copy in your grant file.

Yes, I would. Since I got the 1199's and the 10 Q's, but no confirmation email of my updated 1199 being received, I would like to pursue this further. If there has been some hiccups along the way, I want to know and yes my financial institution did send it to the 202 number.

I have several clients who have not received confirmations yet. Remember, there are only a few people working on several thousands applications right now. Things take time.
(I've got 20+ 1199d apps with no Qs yet...and not at all worried!)

Becoming numb to the process after 9 years of this, I think. I'm well versed in anticipation.
