    Default Gizmo alert

Investigated a fire today where the FD used a gizmo. Second floor bedroom fire. Unoccuppied house. Good access. Gizmo was deployed into the bedroom.

    Thing worked like a charm.

I figure after the second floor, attic, roof, two chimneys and 75% of the contents are replaced, this house will be as good as new. The gizmo likely limited the loss to less than $400,000.

As this is an active investigation, I can't go into the details, but suffice to say, this fire was not one the gizmos-r-us website as a "success".

    Negative.

(Doesn't really sound like the fire I described either, does it?)

    same fire?
I am not so sure that is the same incident .....

He said representatives of the company that insured the house were as impressed with the performance of the FIT-5 as he was. "They reimbursed us $600 toward the purchase of another unit," he said.

looked at the pictures from the fire mentioned in the pafirenews forum, looked like a cheap particle board desk was burning. It appears its only value is as a throwable fire extinguisher.

    Well, yeah.
