    Default Texas State Fire Exam

    Hello,

I am taking the state fire exam soon and I am wondering what can I expect.

I'm certified in FL but am taking TX to get my IFSAC cert. How does the practical work with the 13 skills? What can I expect? I looked through some of the 129 skills from the state website but there seems to be a bunch of repetition when it comes to the skills and I don't know exactly what to brush up on. Any help yall can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I was the last class to take the exam before they changed it to 13 skills, in August of 2009 it was only 3 skills that had to be accomplished. My advice to you is use the skill sheets and memorize them. KNOW your SCBA skills in and out and brush up on the ERG book. Ladders will be thrown at you and hose roles and types of connections.

    God I feel lucky!!
