Default Is this a DJ ??

We had received budget adjustments on our application in December and at that time I questioned them as to if an 1199a was to be issued with this as I am new at this. Not sure what to make of this email I received this afternoon and am awaiting a return call from the regional representative. We had received awards in 2005, 2006, and denials in 2007, 2008. This does not look like and of the previous denial notifications. Does mean award not issued this round or out all together ? Any ideas ??

    Good Morning, Eric

According to AFG system this grant has not been award this period. I believe if you need find more information you should speak with your regional representative Dustin at 215-931-5718.

    Thank you*

    Importance: High

    Mr. Womack,

My intial email was sent in regards to our AFG application EMW-FO-00090. Just prior to Chirstmas I had noticed that the application for this grant had been reviewed and certain line items had reductions applied to them. In previous years the 1199a was issued prior to reductions however this year we have not as of yet received an 1199a to correspond with this grant application. I was inquiring as to the status of an 1199a for this application.

    Sincerely,

It's not a denial, it's stating that you haven't been awarded. (Which is true)

Remember that "finding" the 1199A is something we sort of discovered around here years ago. It's not really public knowledge that the 1199 correlates to the award, and there really is not a need to question it.

    Question Clarification

    Received this reply back:

    Hi Eric,

My apologies for the confusion. First your application 2009-F0-00090 is still pending.

This year the AFG program office made a few internal procedural adjustments.

This year, the AFG program office has proactively recommended adjustments to applications. That is why you see changes online.

The recommended adjustments is NOT an indicator of a potential award.

Also reviewing the online application to notice if a 2009 1199A "trigger" pops up is NOT an indicator of a potential award.

Your application is pending. We anticipate the first round of 2009 awards to be announced in the near future. We also anticipate the first batch of denials.

All applications are pending at this time.

Your Department will be contacted one way or the other regarding the disposition of your application in the near future.

You are officially notified regarding the status of your application via email.

    Thank you,

Did you ever actually get a reply from Dustin in Philly? I've tried contacting him, and he didn't return my email. I was tempted to go knock on his door since I'm 2 blocks away, but I figured that would get me rejected.

I had contacted both offices via email and received a reply back from the Pittsburgh Regional Office within the hour but have not had a response back as of yet from the other. Just going to sit back, try and relax and wait things out at this point. Hopefully things start moving again in the next few weeks.
