I am about to go full-time as a firefighter and would like to know what i should put in my duty bag.
The explorer/Jr FF forum probably isn't the place for thise...
In your duty bag, You should probably carry your basic essentials:
1. Turn-Out Gear
2. Extrication Gloves
3. Extra Pair of Structure Gloves
4. Traffic Control Safety Vest
5. Small Notepad & Pen
Just Something of that sort.
Im not 100% sure as what your Duty-bag is, As Iv heard it mean various things.
Keep a small bag on the apparatus that includes the following:
- Extra shirt
- Extra socks
- Extra gloves (structure & extrication)
- A couple non-perishable snacks
- Extra Nomex hood
- Any essentials you may need if you're stuck outside in the weather for a few hours
This bag will be nice if you get a long call and you're stuck out in the rain or weather. And it doesn't take up much room.
