HGAC Purchasing

Does anyone here have experiance using the HGAC program to purchase fire apparatus? And if so with AFG funds?

Bought our rescue off of it in 2002, department bought a whole pile more after that. Most everyone around here uses HGAC for apparatus. Basic specs are there, can option out to 25% of the cost of the truck without having to go out for bid. So it shortens the process if the truck is needed sooner than later. Since it's a prebid system it qualifies for AFG purchases just like state contracts do.

We also use HGAC extensively for apparatus. Have always been pleased. For future reference, there is a similar organization named Buy Board that you may want to look at.
