Anyone know if the new ANSI 207 vests have been OKed to use in place of the older version 107??
I am finding "Fire Vests" with the ANSI 207 and want to make sure I am still in compliant. I know at the time of the law passage prior to November 2008 ANSI 207 was not out or completely defined from what I am reading.
Let me know, thanks!

My last understanding was that the 207 vests were considered acceptable alternatives.
You can probably find something more black-and-white at ResponderSafety.com.
Edited to add: I happened to be perusing the site I posted above and the first story I clicked on was about the MUTCD 2009 edition being released. In this revision of the MUTCD ANSI-207 vests are included as approved PPE.Last edited by Catch22; 01-27-2010 at 11:53 AM.
