Hey all new and old I just wanted to apologize to you all publicly for my actions and reactions. The week in question I landed 2 fatalities in the same week after having none. I did not think they were affecting me but they obviously were, I have talked with my A/C about it for awhile now and things are much better. I apologize again and look forward to learning from you all!Firefighter/EMT 712

It is a process.
Just let me say, I don't think you need to apologize, you didn't kill any of us.
Recognizing that you are feeling some effects is 90% of the battle to recovery.
Now that you have this off your chest, go out and do good work my friend.
Most of us have been there, so I wouldn't dwell on it here again.HAVE PLAN.............WILL TRAVEL

Ok, now get in the kitchen and finish the dishes.
Now any of you that have ever sat around a firehouse table with some salty jakes for any period of time would understand the humor and understanding of my above comment.I can't believe they actually pay me to do this!!!
One friend noted yesterday that a fire officer only carries a flashlight, sometimes prompting grumbling from firefighters who have to lug tools and hoses.
"The old saying is you never know how heavy that flashlight can become," the friend said.

I smell a lesson learned.
Signs of a good firefighter who learns lessons.

I got to echo the above.
No need to apologize, and now get in that kitchen and finish cleaning up.
