Did a search however did not find much. How should I go about asking for a upgrade on the pump size? We have been awarded a 2,000 gallon tanker with a 500 gpm pump.Would like a larger pump and our budget should allow for this just need to get AFG to approve it. Is this a normal practice?

Have you been awarded the tanker?
Upgrading the pump should not be a problem as long as the pump remains under 750 gpm. If it's 750 gpm or greater; changes the scope of the project classifying it as a pumper not a tanker.
Any time you want to make changes send an email for approval or disapproval. It all boils down to CYA.
