Rest easy Chief you left the FDMH in good hands.
Crazy, but that's how it goes

Always loved going to their fire muster and love the "high visibility black" trucks.

Chief Chuck was a great man, a great host, and a true fireman at heart. He always told me to call him Chuck instead of Chief. I compromised and called him Chief Chuck and he grinned about it. Very humble man he was.

Good bless the FDMH and RIP Chief Himsel.

I had the privilege of having "Fire Truck Chuck" be my teacher for my Degree program at MATC, as well as being a guest teacher for my FF I and II academy. I also was a firefighter at a neighboring department for 6 years before moving away. Chuck was a legend in the region. His larger than life, "safety black" trucks were something that were talked about, yet, when seen in real life, marveled at. He took more pride in his fire station and incredible collection than anyone I have ever seen. I think it's pretty safe to say that Chief Himsel lived, breathed, and loved firefighting, and was someone who was born a firefighter, and never left. A lot of knowledge left with Chief today.

    RIP Chief.

    and Thank You.
