Thanks Blake. I'll take a look at the deadlines/guidance tonight but off the top of my head i'm thinking of a project that would educate fire depts about grant opportunities. Scholarship for 15 or 20 people to spend two days with Kurt or Brian would make for a heck of a return on investment.

Doesn't matter--i sent it to my wife suggesting she apply for funding for the new CPS permanent fitting station she's putting together--Feb app count is full so she's in line for March. No way i'm going to start a range war in our house by applying against her!!

just joined....no longer a lurker...lol
hello all I've been lurking for quite a few months or at least since end of last year.
anyways i just joined and figured id share that ive submitted an idea to the Pepsi Refresh Project, finally got my idea through after having to wait another month because of technical issues on Pepsi's website.
My idea is the purchase and distribution and implementation of LED flares "Powerflares" to be used in place of traditional flares, IMHO much safer, and more economically friendly. With help by grants the LED flares are going to be distributed to communities in my area and eventually a greater area.
I've already been successful in obtaining a Do Something Disaster Grant from Do Something for purchase of a few LED flares several months ago.
Keep an eye out for my project and if it makes it I'll post the link that way if one feels the sudden overwhelming urge to help you can vote
thanks everyone
