    Default Question for Everyone???

Would like to hear your input, If you would be asked,

"What are the top five priority items the Fire Act Grant has funded?

What would you list look like. Please list in order of importance.

    Example:
    1) Turn-Out Gear
    2) SCBA's
    3) Hose
    4) Washer/Extractor
    5) Rescue Equipment

This should be based on what the grant will fund, not what you think the grant "should" fund.

Washer/Extractor should be asked for with a turnout gear grant in my opinion together

    1. Turn out gear [ keeps us safer]
    2. Up to date SCBA [ditto]
    3. Training to be safer and more knowledgeable
    4. Cascade system and fill station so we no longer have to travel 1 hr to fill air bottles.
    5. Modern communications gear. [radios and pagers]

These are the items we have been awarded since AFG started

I don't know how many unsafe ancient converted oil & milk tankers have been replaced, but that would be high on the list also.

Unless it brings the cost benefit ratio out of whack. Yes it is a complete solution, but adding 12 grand to a request for much needed turnouts might be enough to get a computer DJ.
Gear can always be cleaned with a scrub brush and soapy water.
