Hello, I am currently in medic school and when I get my license I want to get my Firefighter 2 right away. I was wondering if anyone knows of any Chicago burbs that will allow you to join and sponsor you for a FF 2 academy. Preferably that run their own academy or participate in one that is 2 or 3 nights a week and maybe all day on the weekends. I live on my own and work full time, I cannot afford to attend a full time academy on my own.
Come out to the Rockford area and you can get your FFII through our MABAS academy if you're on one of the participating departments. I know, that's not quite the suburbs, so I'm sure there are departments closer to you than can help...Quote:
