Looking for narrative examples for SCBA Fill Station/compressor. We were fortunate enough to hit last year for scba and are hopeful after attending Kurt's program in Somerset (PBS Coals) last year that we will receive funding for turnout gear this year. If successful we intend on applying for a compressor system.
We have an idea on some of the talking points to put in the narrative,
items such as the inability to fill cylinders after returning from an incident
currently do not train on air with cylinders
units are out of service for a time period
a few of the NFPA Standards that we are not meeting
We also have a good idea of what we are after as far as a system.
I am looking for some examples on how to tie it all together.
My email is bdj@zoominternet.net, if you leave me a address I will be more than happy to make the first email.

Ditto wisdomvinyl@hotmail.com
I know Ditto sounds like a lack of effort but the post above says it all. Just kind hard when you have to take a 30min trip to go fill bottles and you can't get them filled until the next day.

I'm kicking around the same thing this year if anyone would be interested in sharing. I'm always happy to send any of mine in return.
I tried this is '07 and got a next to last round DJ citing that I was lacking the cost/benefit, but it never hurts to see others' work for ideas.

we are looking for help as well.
Waterford Fire is also going to write for that. If anyone could send something my way that would be great. I have some successful narratives to send if needed.

Thank you to everyone who has been willing to share thoughts regarding the fill station, our PPE award was announced yesterday! Lots of dancing going on due to information on this forum and two of our members attending the training at PBS Coals. Good luck to everyone who is still on the edge of their seats.
