Not many opportunities for firemedics in Wyoming but some deparments do use them. Over 80 percent of the FDs in the state are volunteer and run EMT-I (mostly BEC/EMT-B or fire only though) at the most. Cheyenne, Casper, Rock Springs do run ALS engines and Laramie and Sheridan run engines and ALS ambulance. Check their websites for hiring but most departments in the state are cutting back and most tested in 2009 (test every two years). Hope this helps. Good luck.
