    Default The most useless things?

I was wondering what you consider the most useless or least used equipment on you truck was.

Can be engine, ladder, ambulance, ect

Mine is we have a fog nozzle for a 2.5 that is fixed flow for 200 gpm. I mean really, this thing is like 2 years old and has been used once.

The other are some cardboard splints on the ambulance.

    Have fun

I can think of a couple of TOOLS that are next to worthless.

They whine about 3 am fires and the working conditions constantly; especially during snow and ice storms.

I'm trying to trade them off for some tools that we can really use.

We have a couple of those fancy leg splints for compound fractures. Forget what they are called. They only time they get used is during training.

Hare traction splint? Love it. We don't get much use out of it, but I am glad we have it. It has potential.

don't insult tools like that, they have a use much unlike the things you are talking about.

I could never get the patient to be still with it. Last time I just gave up and put the damn hare out of its misery. What are we doing trying to rescue rabbits anyways?

You can also buy "winter air" for the apparatus tires there too.

Water hammer. I could probably sell it on EBAY.

I wish we would get rid of our hose clamp.

Had a great instructor years ago, God rest his soul, who would always remind us: "Don't ever forget that the 2.5" fog nozzle was invented by a greedy nozzle salesman!"

We keep about four 1" nozzles on our first out. For one booster line.
