Our department is trying to locate a vendor that will sell us one M272 and one M18A3 chemical test kits. These kits are required for haz-mat team certification in California. The only vendor I found, Fisher Scientific, requires a purchase of a case at a time, which is cost prohibitive at this time. Here is the description from firescope:
1.2.8 WMD, WATER TEST, MILITARY, Kit: Qualitative analysis for
WMD chemicals in water (i.e. M272 or M273 kit); Sensitive for
GA, GB, GD, GF, VX HD, and L to ppb and ppt. Detection is
dependent upon liquid color change. (Rev2008)
1.2.9 WMD CHEMICALS, MILITARY, Test Kit: - Part of the M18A2
or M18A3 or CAD C-2 kit; For detecting nerve (GB, VX); blister
(H, HD, HN, HT, L, CX, ED); blood (AC, CK); and choking/vomit
(CG, MD). Comprises detection tickets, sampling tubes,
reagent chemicals and some colorimetric tubes (i.e. M18A2,
M18A3, CAD Kit C-2). (Rev2008)

If anyone has information on where I can purchase them I would appreciate it. Thanks.

M272 and M18A3 chemical test kits
Try Aramsco - Safeware or Global Protection. I've had decent results with Aramsco and Safeware about working with us for single units. Good Luck

Hate to say they were not that easy to get for an Army Reserve Chemical Battalion. They have a shelf life. California really requires them?! Good luck. Have you checked with the national guard, they may have a supply channel that a FD may be able to use.
