There are a hand full of these threads on here. Probably check those out. I am a big fan of my red wings style 4473. Great comfortable all leather boot that is made in the USA with a steel toe and a stainless steel midsole (shank more or less).
But what works for me may not work for you. Oh and I had magnum's before these. Those are really nice too. Ended up running 3 miles in them once. No blisters!

What boots last the longest, I bought a 230 dollar pair of Danners last year and they are already falling apart. I want to invest in some comfortable boots that will last, any suggestions?

My boots are the Danner striker 8" GTX. They haven't been taking in to be repaired. The leather on the boots and pealing in some places and both heels are wore through the rubber.

Every pair of station boots I have had have fallen apart in about 9 months. I have had Thoroughgoods, 5.11s and Bates. So far, the Bates are holding up the best.
I really want to try the Haix boots. I hear nothing but good things about them. I also want a set of Globe Tech Rescue boots...they look and fit awesome.

Redbacks... They are expensive but worth the cost. My buddy and I both have them and we both swear by them. Heck, I have a pair for work and a pair for home I love them so much...

Lol, don't I know that feeling. Except for that hazmat teaching junk
. I prefer to teach stuff that doesn't change colors on me in mid presentation lol. On the plus side, you don't have to hunt for an ammonia inhalant to toss in your buddies bunk when he's sleeping, just a boot or two! Take care, buddy!

Having been through the Bates, Hi-Tech, Rocky, 5.11, I now have a pair of Haix and they are the most comfortable so far. They have been holding up much better than those other brands as far as wear also. Wanted to try Globe but they didn't return calls or e-mails.
